The Esarey Bicentennial Reunion of 2010 will be held on the weekend of August 7 and 8, 2010 to commemorate the 100th Annual Esarey Reunion and the 200th anniversary of the settling of the Esarey family in Perry County, Indiana. As indicated by the scale of the original 1910 Centennial Reunion, we are hoping to make the 2010 Reunion something special.
At the 2005 Reunion, we formed the Esarey Family Bicentennial Reunion Committee, in order to begin planning of the 2010 Reunion. A survey (both web-based and mail-in paper copies) has been completed to define consensus about the 2010 Reunion. Download the survey results (150 kb Acrobate Reader pdf file).
The planning committees have assembled a draft agenda (see front page of the web site). The plan for the Esarey Bicentennial Reunion of 2010 includes a full weekend venue based at the Schergens Center in Tell City with get togethers, meals, presentations, music, lectures, and local tours. Of course, a major focus of these efforts will center on Branchville, site of the Esarey's first settlement in Indiana 200 years ago.
